To implement annual business plans for your branch in conjunction with the TWW Mission Statement and direction of your Region Manager. The Branch Manager (BM) manages and directs the daily sales and operations of a branch location. This includes customer development, sales of all products and all channels, teammate development, inventory management and enforcing TWW safety policies.
The Branch Manager is responsible for sales, customer service, branch budgets, operating profits, human resource management, and the inventory and facility maintenance of their respective branch in accordance to company policies, practices and procedures.
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead your Tire Wholesale Warehouse location in achieving the TWW Mission Statement and BATO’s strategic direction by:
Developing “controlled” wholesale distribution in unstable, weak and open markets.
Supporting BATO Consumer Division’s plan for an improved distribution delivery network for BSRO and Family Channel Retailers.
Managing channel conflicts and observing area marketing policies with all BATO channels.
Lead your TWW location’s performance standards by providing a high level of quality customer service and market awareness.
Meet or exceed sales and profit objectives for all Bridgestone brands.
Direct the branch sales team in the sales of competitive brands to compliment Bridgestone brands.
Meet or exceed annual sales and profit objectives for your TWW branch within your operating budget.
Manage expenses and headcount within your location’s budget.
Take lead for your location’s unit and financial budget process for original and revised budget.
Take a lead role in the development of Inside Sales Representatives, Warehouse Manager and Outside Sales Manager.
Develop a team oriented process for all TWW teammates as it relates to their performance and career path.
Assist Outside Sales Managers in developing the market with respect to all channels to assure maximum growth and share.
Know your competition (products & programs) so to lead branch in winning in the market.
Provide TWW Marketing Department with competitive information that will assist in product positioning, merchandising and pricing.
Learn and understand market and industry trends to better negotiate for best price recovery and market share.
Develop sales routes and increase points of sales (General Wholesale) to increase sales and profits.
Be an expert on the Bridgestone Affiliated Retail Nationwide Network (BARNN) program and dealers in your market area.
Understand the program completely while assisting the Bridgestone Affiliated Retailer in reaching their monthly and annual goals.
Take a lead role in understanding customer accounts that are down in sales and profit and implement counter-measures to improve.
Resolve customer issues within TWW policies and guidelines. Bring unresolved issues to the attention of the Region Manager.
Follow TWW Marketing policies on pricing.
Management of Accounts Receivables with TWW Operations.
Ensure continuous implementation and enforcement of company policies, practices and procedures at your specific location including but not limited to TWW credit policies.
Understand and practice all Bridgestone HR policies as it relates to your TWW location. Work with Bridgestone’s HR Partner to use “best practices” to hire best candidates and have positive teammate retention.
Manage your location teammate’s schedule to assure proper work load coverage.
Strictly follow and enforce all safety practices and guidelines as outlined in company policy and procedures.
These responsibilities are not inclusive and employee will be responsible to assist with other functions on an as needed basis as instructed by your Region Manager.
BS Degree in Business, Marketing or related field plus 2 years retail and/or wholesale tire sales experience and 2 years supervisory experience “or”
High School graduate or equivalent with 4 years retail and/or wholesale tire sales experience and 4 years supervisory experience “or”
One year minimum as TWW Outside Sales Manager.
All branch teammates must pass a Mobile Equipment Operation (MEO) Physical and MEO Operation Certification. (Subject to renewal every two years based on assisting in the warehouse on occasion.)
Physical Requirements: Must be able to physically lift up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
