To implement annual business plans for your branch sales in conjunction with the TWW Mission Statement and direction of your Branch Manager. This includes customer development, sales of all products and all channels and the coordination of sales communication with Inside Sales Representatives (ISR) to manage goals and sales activities.
The Outside Sales Manager is responsible for sales in conjunction with the TWW Mission Statement at the direction of their Branch Manager. Participate in weekly ISR meetings to discuss goals, opportunities and strategy. Provide sales direction through continuous communication with Branch Manager for preparation of annual business plan.
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist Tire Wholesale Warehouse in achieving their Mission Statement and BATO’s strategic direction by:
Developing new Bridgestone Affiliated Retailers and General Wholesale accounts.
Supporting BATO Consumer Division’s plan for an improved distribution delivery network for Family Channel Retailers.
Managing channel conflicts with other BATO channels.
Observing Area Marketing policies for all channels
Meet or exceed company performance standards by providing a high level of quality customer service and market awareness.
Meet or exceed sales and profit objectives for all BATO brands: Bridgestone, Firestone and Fuzion.
Meet or exceed sales objectives for all competitive brands.
Meet or exceed annual sales and profit objectives for your TWW branch.
Assist TWW Branch Manager with unit budget process and forecasting.
Assist TWW Branch Manager in the development of Inside Sales Representatives with sales goals and implementation of sales programs.
Develop market with respect to all channels to assure maximum growth and share by customer account.
Know your competition (products & programs) so to lead branch in winning in the market.
Provide TWW Marketing Department with competitive information that will assist in product positioning, merchandising and pricing.
Learn and understand market and industry trends to better negotiate for best price recovery and market share.
Assist the Branch Manager in development of sales routes and increase points of sales (BARNN Tier 1 & General Wholesale).
Be an expert on the Bridgestone Affiliated Retail Nationwide Network (BARNN) program and dealers in your market area.
Understand the program completely while assisting the BARNN Retailer in reaching their monthly and annual goals.
Review sales reports with Branch Manager to determine accounts that are down in sales and profit and implement counter-measures to improve sales and profits.
Resolve customer issues within TWW policies and guidelines. Bring unresolved issues to the attention of the Branch Manager.
Follow TWW Marketing policies on pricing.
Take a lead role in the management of Accounts Receivables.
Ensure continuous implementation and enforcement of company policies, practices and procedures at their specific location including but not limited to TWW credit policies.
Have a cursory knowledge of the Branch Managers responsibilities to assist during vacation and other time off.
Assist in the basic operational procedures of the branch at the direction of the Branch Manager.
Strictly follow and enforce all safety practices and guidelines as outlined in company policy and procedures.
These responsibilities are not inclusive and employee will be responsible to assist with other branch functions on an as needed basis as instructed by the Branch Manager.
Education / Experience
BS Degree in Business, Marketing or related field plus two years retail and/or wholesale sales experience “or”
High School graduate or equivalent with two years retail and/or wholesale tire sales experience “or”
High School graduate or equivalent and one year with TWW as Warehouse Manager, Inside Sales Representative (I or II), or Outside Sales Manager in Training.
All branch teammates must pass a Mobile Equipment Operation (MEO) Physical and MEO Operation Certification. (Subject to renewal every two years based on assisting in the warehouse on occasion.)
Physical Requirements : Must be able to physically lift up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
