Position Summary:

The Category Manager of Labor and Services is responsible for supporting the assortment, pricing and promotions for labor and services for our GCR Tires and Service commercial stores. This individual will be the key point of contact with our vendors and operators, with responsibility of pricing and program negotiations that maximize sales, profit and productivity. They will utilize market and internal data to help shape the product and service retail strategy in our GCR stores. This role will also be a key stakeholder with inventory management and the aged inventory process.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve pricing policies and metrics to drive profitable growth based on differentiated value, targeted market programming, incentives and promotions.

  • Administer/maintain pricing policies and controls.

  • Conduct competitive analysis and positioning of all product core offerings/ store within a given marketplace. This position is critical to price management and growth programming.

  • Spearhead the creation of a matrix pricing discipline that will establish pricing levels at the store level based on factors such as customer size, segment or other economic value drivers

  • Manage Product and Service Line Review process annually

  • Partner with field leadership team to ensure overall labor services are communicated and executed

  • Responsible to lead a small team of pricing administration professionals that would be entering pricing and material data into store POS & back-end office system

  • Key point of contact with all vendors and operators, both internal and external

  • Drive recommendations on inventory markdowns with key vendors and operators to support overall merchandising strategy

  • Conduct category analytics and reporting

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree Required

Minimum of 3 years proven experience in Retail Merchandising and/or Price Management

Strong negotiation skills

Effective prioritization and time management skills

Strong communication and administrative skills

Proficient in Office Suite: Word, Excel and Power Point; Proficient in SQL, and data visualization tools

Preferred:

MBA preferred

Tire industry experience preferred
